Christmas 2008 Wrap-up

Some of it is better left unwritten, but here are some of the highlights:

  • Ella's first earache
  • Ella's first (and I hope to God last) bout of chickenpox
  • Ella's lip pox that got infected and caused me to panic since it resembled the staph thing
  • Sinusitis and laryngitis for me
  • And now a family-wide case of la grippe, otherwise known as the flu.

I was tempted to joke that I now want to dress her in protective gear and an oxygen mask every time we leave the house like the overprotective mother I am, but rethought it after realizing it is sort of true. OMG.

Illness aside, Christmas was wonderful.

Oh wow, that sounds fun. But I bet neither of you will get sick for a good long time after getting through all that. I have two younger brothers and all three of us kids got chicken pocks one Christmas. My mother was thrilled.

Get well soon!

Oh, Dear me. sounds like a lot to happen at Christmas time. Hope you all are feeling much better today.
It is beautiful here. The sun is up and we are enjoying the beautiful blue sky, it's still cold, but not freezing. Sewing some and just enjoying being alive.
D is off to witness a car auction and will be going to North Carolina next week
Have a great one and hope to hear from you soon.

What a bummer to all be sick over the holiday! But maybe you'll be super resistant now and will have no illnesses in 2009. Take care!
