Ultrasound Update

Once again, let me be thankful for my ultrasound man who is WONDERFUL. If there are any pregnant women in 78 who happen across my blog, I can wholeheartedly recommend my 'echographist' (which I'm not sure is actually a word...sometimes I make them up). Anyway, he always explains what we are looking at and that so far everything looks great. I love this man. I used to be weirded out by male 'down there' doctors, but have since changed my mind since living here.

Baby is 2.2 kilos (around 4.8 pounds), positioned head down, and is a 'beau foetus.' It's amazing to be able to watch and hear the blood flow through her heart as well as umbilical cord. Still looks like a girl, too, and the doc seems relatively certain. He did one 4-D shot for us and she seemed to be sleeping. I know I'm biased, but I think she's a total cutie with her chubby cheeks.

Oh, it's so exciting. Seen a darling little boy today who is a greatgrandson. His mother is totally happy and doing a wonderful job. You do sound so happy and confident now so hang in there and stay happy. Don't forget to get plenty of rest while you can.

Exciting! I am so happy for you! My sister, who is also pregnant, just did her scan, and her baby is also fine. The baby is due in May, so not too long to go, but they decided to wait for the sex and have it as a surprise. I am totally dying to know, I could never resist not knowing. I am happy you are having a lovely girl, I would love a little niece from her, as I have three nephews already!!!!

Aimee -- I hope you have a great echo visit! This one went really fast, but I guess once he got a good baseline all he needed to do was keep charting progress.

"Anonymous" -- Thank you for the update on my niece! I wish I were there to see the baby.

Angela -- Thanks! I have enjoyed week one but don't have a lot to show for it except a good ultrasound and less dark circles under my eyes. I'll take that as success, though.

Erica -- Congrats to your sister! I don't think I could have waited to find out the sex of the baby but I totally respect people who do.
