Making My Week

Chris from book-a-rama sure made my day when she gave me this:

Now, it's my turn. Here are some other blogs that make my day

Put Your Flare On: Our children had the exact same due date (neither arrived on that particular day, though). I love reading her stories of her life in Paris and I especially love her photos. They're amazing. Right now she's taking a series photographs of her daily life.

These Days in French Life: Riana writes daily about her slow year (check out her blog to learn more) and her enthusiasm is contagious. I'm also quite fond of the pictures and videos of her little girl with the gorgeous curls.

BurkinaMoms' Life in Africa: One of my favorite blogs, hands down...she makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis. Her blog is a very nice mix of stories about her life in Burkina Faso along with posts on political situations in Africa. Go and read about the goat wedding.

Uh Oh Spaghettios: Reb also cracks me up with her stories about life in Lille. I'm also fascinated by her stories of her daughter becoming bilingual!

Chitlins and Camembert: Amy is an immensely talented writer and I always look forward to her posts. She's one of the funniest expat bloggers out there! I'm particularly fond of her "Gotta Know 'Em if You Live in France" series.

LA en Vie: An American who lived in France, then moved to L.A. and now writes about re-entry shock. It's thoughtfully done and full of surprises.

Bringing up Baby Bilingual: A very nice resource for bilingual families (think I found her through Reb's blog). Sarah writes about her experiences speaking only French to her nephew and also profiles bilingual families. She recently had a baby so another plus will be cute baby photos -- woo hoo!

This Chickadee: I'm a total lurker on this blog but love her creativity. She knits and sews, and I hope she won't be weirded out by the fact I'm a total stranger. Anyway, I dig her bags and Bold As Love blanket.

Kathy's Blog: One close to home and to my heart. One of my very, very best friends just started a blog and each post makes me feel a little less homesick. Technology is amazing that way.

I'm stopping at 9, although I could go on and on. Maybe I'll just pick this back up another time since I've had fun doing this.

I thank you for the very kind review of my blog. My goats thank you, too.
And many thanks also for the recommendations for other good blogs to read. There's so much boring writing out there, it can get discouraging to just sift through it on your own.
I checked out Chitlins & Camembert, which is a real treasure. France has never been so funny!!
